A Real Man Is was a three-year project that was completed in 2018. The project aimed at empowering young people to become active participants in the campaign to prevent violence against women.

Project activities were undertaken through building transformative participation of young men in the civic sphere and the dissemination of information and documents that encouraged transformative masculinity.

The project which was a partnership between PAWA and the Africa Alliance of YMCA’s (AAYMCA) was implemented in Kenya and Zambia; Kilifi and Mombasa (Coastal region) in Kenya and Lusaka (Central Province) and Kitwe (Copper belt Province) in Zambia.
